Job Search Help

“Employers won’t hire you simply because they like the way you look or because you want them to, you must convince them that you can do the job and that requires preparation, practice and lots of determination.  The Ann Terry Project can help."

Always include a Cover Letter when applying for any job position. If you need help with a cover letter please contact us and we can provide you with the necessary information that should be included in a cover letter. When I lost my job after 17 years because my position became redundant, The Ann Terry Project helped me to develop my job goals and work on a plan to get there. My plan included returning to school for two years, but now I am working full time doing the work I want to do.

My experience was wonderful. I had previously went to the government run Student Employment Center in my city, and felt that I was just another number in a database looking for work. They were never helpful in my job search. The Ann Terry Project was the polar opposite. They made me feel welcome and that they were genuinely invested in assisting me in my job search. I recommended their services to a number of my friends. The counselors were incredibly knowledgeable and they have created a very calm and welcoming, as well as fun atmosphere which made my visits quite enjoyable.

OUR LOCATION The location of the office has changed over the years as has the faces of the staff who provide the services and the dedicated volunteers who continue to sponsor this Project for women in our community. What doesn’t change is the Ann Terry Society’s commitment to provide specialized women centered career development and counselling services for women.
